It's not hard to get to the Arendal region. The train brings you here from east and west, and the buses have almost hourly departures from Oslo. The airport bus to Kjevik airport makes airplane a good alternative.
By car?
There are three parking garages in the Arendal town centre, easily accessible from E18. The town centre is then small enough to let everything be withing parking distance. Reasonalbe-priced parking in Barbu, also walking distance to the centre. Parking in the smaller towns and areas in the region is easy.
Bicycle?
The North Sea Cycle Route runs along the Sørlandet coastline through Risør, Tvedestrand and Arendal. Locally, there is an ongoing process to develop trails for those who like to bring their bike on holiday. You can also rent a bicycle lokally.
By air?
Kjevik
Airport bus from Arendal, a connection with the Kristiansand-Arendal bus.
Oslo airport Torp
The buses to and from Oslo stop at Fokserød, and Oslo airport Torp is a short taxi or bus trip from E18 and Fokserød. Going back to the airport, the bus driver can help you call a taxi.
Oslo airport Gardermoen
Take an airport bus or train to Oslo and choose your transportation to Arendal from there.
By rail?
Take the train to Arendal! NSB has several departures each day. Some of our country's most lovely places can be seen from the train. Relax and enjoy the view.
